My First Camping....

Camping... One of the most exciting out door activity here in US....

Ofcourse it was very much exciting for me, after all its my first..... Infact till the morning the plan was not at all in my schedule.... and when we were out for a fag after a good breakfast my friends started talking about the this.... And from then I was all set for the camping....

But still the plan was so obscure as the weather was threatning us.... with its dark clouds and thunders.... Still it cant stop us from setting out for the trip.... We start from Salem around 10.00 in the morning with an alternative if the weather has sued us.... and that was the Hampton Beach a really live beach with lots of babes and fun....

We traveled for around 2 hours and stopped at a town side restaurant for lunch... As usuall I started looking different dishes and then I thought..... If something goes bad..... then I would have to search for a water source all the time in the camping forest ;)..... So controlled myself and just ordered a Chicken Fried Rice..... but to my bad time not that good... but I'm happy atleast it didnt spoil my stomach....

From there we drove right to the foot of the gaint peak "The Mount Washington" which has its own credit.... "Home of the world's worst weather".... But it was calm when we went... probably it would have knew that I'm coming to see the summit..... At the office we got the complimentary information CD and a certificate for climbing the peak..... After few snaps in the foot of the gaint... we started our voyage in lower gears...... It was a 8 mile drive amidst which fantastic scearies and views of the hills of "White Mountains".... When we reached the hill top..... the weather was so calm as if it was welcoming us to see the amazing peak and the surrounding world.... And up there... We touched the Peak, Took a snap as if like we climbed as the first people.... spent a good time up there.

When we started our discend it was already 5.00 PM... By the time we touched the foot hill again the sky was fully blue and in complete contrast with the forecast..... Yahoooooo... we started executing Plan "A" the CAMPING.......

We chose a pleasant, silent and a beatifull camp ground in a bank of a unknown forest river... The camp site was "Dolly Copp" which is one of the well known in that area.... Once we set our tent we went to a near by town (infact a village) to get the food and fire logs. By the time we started the fire it was already 8.00 PM and the Sun has started telling bye to us....

The worst thing is we were able to start cooking only 9.00 PM by the time we have started seeing bright stars.... We are really late as we are near to the breakfast time of the forest natives the "American Black Bear" which were very wild and are very much used to human habitats....But still the excitement has hidden the fear.... and as the time moved on we were so enjoyin the fresh barbeque food under the dark skies.... Miss Moon was on vacation that day... My friends started telling all the camping stories and time got dissolved so fast... and only by 2.00 AM we realised we were the only humans awake by that time.... we thought of giving some rest to the forest and went in to the tent for sleeping.....

Next day the SUNDAY we set out for a mini treking...... inside the dense forests of White Mountains.... infact a 1 hour treking ;).... and wrapped up by 11.00 AM for a scenic drive...... We had our lunch pretty early at 12.00 AM as the "Kancamagus Byway" will only feed our eyes and not the stomach....

"Kancamagus Byway" the New Hampshire states most beautiful scenic drive with awesome view points all over the drive..... The first one was so good that I didnt even close my eyes for a second.... It was a small falls in one of the forest river which was suitable for taking bath.... mmmmm....... lots of cute chicks..... man.... it was aaaaaaawesome.... I felt so hard to leave all those white angels behind... but what to do..... I have to reach home by the nightfall.... With some bit of sadness in the corner of heart.... we finished the drive covering almost all the view points.... and reached Salem at around 5.00 PM.... thats it... my weekend was over...

But this was one another unforgettable weekend for me.....ever....
